More than 25 years of experience

It has been over 25 years since Peter started up the pearl farm. He learned pearl farming from his father in-law Jean Tapu, (twice world champion spear fisherman), one of the pioneers of the pearl industry in French Polynesia.

Since Peter and his family were living in a house he built on a coral reef in the middle of the lagoon, they decided to take advantage of Jean’s great expertise and started a small pearl farm.

After 6 years of farming and many curious people wanting to visit, Peter decided that enough was enough, and to get the farm out of the house. So he moved the pearl farm across the lagoon onto a magnificent coral head, and opened it up to the public.
